Reel Bike Dream Came Into Reality @==@

In this blog entry I’m gonna talk about the dream that came into reality, this lightbike in the movie came into reality. Lightbikes appear in the original 1982 film as well as last year’s sequel featuring Jeff Bridges, Tron: Legacy.

Parker Brothers Choppers have created the real version which is 8 feet long, 23 inches wide and weighs 474 lbs. it can also reach a cool 120 mph. the bike was created using state-of-the-art CGI graphics and controlled by computer programs and gamers in the movie. Former truck tyres had been used to produced this hubless wheels which has custom-shaped to fit and decorated with electro-luminescent strips.

It has a fibreglass cover encases a steel frame and unusually, riders have to lie at a near-horizontal position just as in the film. Tron Light bike is powered by a fuel-injected Suzuki 996cc, four-stroke engine and is spring-loaded at the front and back.

It crabs with its stunning look and certainly turns a few heads riding it down the street. The bike is lit up with electroluminescent strips built into the tire cowlings, wheel rims and body. It has a TL1000R motor that powers the chain driven friction drive system.

Lightbike also has some space age technology built in – including a port for an iPad that, when connected, will download ride stats from the on-board computer. They’ve taken it a step further and turned the gas-guzzling beast into an electric bike, the top speed exceeding 100 mph for a range of 100 miles or a single charge with 35 minute recharge times, a 96 volt electric motor and lithium ion battery pack.

Electric lightbike version pricing and availability are unknown at this point but the old gas-powered version priced at $56,607.
