Do Robots Can Bring You Sandwiches???????

Students from University of Tokyo and Technische Universitat Munchen had found the PR2 robots. This robots can do all sorts of things that you know before and if you’re a fan of PR2 robot, now PR2 robots is doing a great taken and you’ll be pleased to hear that this robot can now find and fetch sandwiches for you.

PR2 robot has a new practical purpose and that purpose is to bring you sandwiches. If you want a sandwich, all that you have to do is ask PR2 robot to bring you a sandwich and PR2 will use digital map of its environment and leveraging semantic search information to locate and bring you a sandwich.
It’s interesting that when PR2, checks the refrigerator for sandwiches and if there are no sandwiches there, PR2 will find a sandwich shop its own even if that means going to the different floor using the elevator.

It’s great to see that PR2 can be practical and helpful to you and we can only wonder what PR2 will be able to do in the future. The PR2 has no detailed information on sandwiches but its database tells it that sandwiches are a type of food and that food can be found in Kitchens and restaurants and from that it figures out where to look.

A PR2 robot already knows how to get drinks and bake cookies and managed to get from a simple way. We have to just command PR2 ‘bring me a sandwich’ to go and ordering a sandwich at a Subway in a separate building all entirely autonomously.
But it had a little trouble with the elevator buttons but let’s think about the big picture by using techniques like these and we’re getting closer to being able to give robots vague and general commands and having them figure out what we want really want and how to make it happen. But unfortunately the PR2 is prices at $400,000.

Thanks to the student of Tokyo and Technische Universitat Munchen University for doing a great job on PR2 robots…….
