Here I’m gonna talk about the invisible keys, unlocking doors can be a tiresome process sometimes, especially if we have to carry several different keys with us at all times. Different keys sometimes will be messed up and confused which key should be used for this…
But need to thank, to the development of technology so we might be able to open our locks with invisible keys in the near future. This Invisible Key is developed by Tsai Yao-pin and instead of the actual key that we use to unlock the door here we have to use our specific hand gesture.
He got this idea from motion controllers, so he developed a system that can track 3D movement of the hand. And his team from Technology and Science Institute of Northern Taiwan had developed a chip capable of performing such Tracking.
Here the simple thing to unlock the door, we just need to setup our gesture and repeat that gesture in front of the sensor each time when you want to unlock your door. So in the near future there’s no need for keys or cards, just invisible key.
This Invisible Key may be launched in the middle of 2012. In the future we don’t have to worry about losing or forgetting our keys. Don’t think gesture can’t be changed, if needed you can change your gesture with less cost and less hassle than having to replace a physical key.
The “invisible key” won a gold medal at the four-day Taipei International Invention Show and Technomart which ended on Sunday. So feel free from now onwards, in near future there is no requirement of carrying the actual key.
