‘Phablet’: Smartphone With Many Core On-The-Go Benefits!!!

According to O2 website, the Samsung Galaxy Note is coming to O2 in the UK this month. The device is already available in the UK although there’s not been too much support for it on the networks. The device is classed as a smartphone even though it has a very large 5.3 inch screen. The screen has 800 x 1280 pixels at a pixel density of 285 ppi. The screen is also Super AMOLED and is covered by Gorilla glass for extra strength from the elements.
It is said that Samsung Galaxy Note runs the Android 2.3 operating system and has the TouchWiz 4.0 UI running on top. Although it already launched earlier this month the uptake by carriers hasn’t been that great. It’s a unique device and quite oversized but at the same time, justified with the stylus that makes it a decent note keeping companion. The Samsung is trying to create a new category of device with this 5.3-inch screened behemoth.
Galaxy Note is just falling somewhere between the tablet and phone goal posts but it is larger than our average smartphone. It’s dimensions come in at 146.85 x 82.95 x 9.65mm yet, at 178g, it’s fairly light. In front, has only a Samsung logo and homescreen button visible to the eye. In the front facing 2MP camera and light sensor are there but almost impossible to see on the black model. On the top houses the 3.5mm headphone jack, left hand side holds only a volume rocker and there’s a power/lock-unlock button on the right. On the bottom, micro USB charging and syncing port can be located.
It has 8MP camera with LED flash, and the speaker is located near the bottom of the rear and just above the dock for the ‘S-Pen’. It has either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage (which we can also expand by another 32GB with removable memory). It really gives a plenty of juice with its 2,500mAh battery.

Andrea SuperBeam Buds Headsets: Delivers Hi-Definition Sound!!!!

The Andrea SuperBeam Buds headset is a pretty good headset for usage in VOIP applications. I probably wouldn’t use it as my every day music headphones on my iPhones because I prefer more bass, but nevertheless the sound quality was very good. These headsets deliver Hi-Definition sound for all our social media and multimedia applications.

It features a unique boom-less design, each of the two earbuds has a microphone built-in enabling true binaural surround sound recordings. These two mics leverage Andrea’s patented Adaptive Beam Forming to cancel unwanted background noise without the need for a clunky boom mic stretching across our cheek to our lips.

SuperBeam provides;
·         The headsets USB sound card supports CD quality sound of 16 bit and up to 44.1 kHz sample rates.
·         3D surround sound recording, a unique new audio capture and playback feature.
·         Sleek “boom free” design with digital noise cancellation technology that is Skype Certified.
·         Works with OS X Leopard, Snow Leopard and Lion operating systems.
·         Increased convenience, no need to position an annoying boom microphone in front of our lips.

The adaptive beam forming feature and noise cancellation only works with AudioCommander software, so these features aren’t available with mobile phones and the mobile adapter is a bit expensive, earbuds themselves expensive.
This product comes in black (SB-205B) and white (SB-205W). It also provides one year warranty and a carrying case is included with each purchase. There are two free downloads available from the company website that support the quality of the sound available to Mac users. The first, AudioCommander software, controls microphone and speaker noise reduction using preset tabs. The second, Mac USB Audio software, offers audio enhancement. It retails for a premium price of $129.95.

Dave the Funky Monkey toy, is an adorable electronic monkey plush toy designed to sit on our shoulder and interact with our friends and passers-by.
This chap sits on our shoulder and performs many different actions all via a (wireless) remote control. This Funky Monkey is named as Dave, is a cheeky robot monkey toy that does look very realistic. Dave has the look of a small squirrel monkey with a black body, white face, hands and feet. Nick used only two motors to bring him to life, he is inexpensive and accessible to all.
The Dave the Cheeky Monkey toy is relatively small so he can sit on top of our shoulder in comfort, it comes at about 8 inches in height and Dave is sure to be a fascinating toy for children of all ages. As our friends introduce themselves he’ll wave, if our friends embarrass or scare him he’ll hide his face looking shy or scared, he’ll even put his hand up ready for a high-five if the situation dictates.
Dave’s waving, nodding and head shaking is still a bit cranky. He looks completely autonomous and seems understand how to answer simple question. There is a simple remote control with 8 buttons that will adjust how Dave response to the question or the passer by, and main thing is before introducing Dave to others we need a little practice with him.
Built with two poppers and a Velcro strip on the back and we could simply attached it to a shoulder strap to let him sit safely and comfortably on our shoulder. When comes to value for money on Dave is really good. It costs at price of GBP 15.95 and is now available in UK.I think there seems to be a lot of new toys out for this coming Christmas and really it’s a Christmas gift to us. Trevor, First Man To Have Prosthetic Arm With Built-in Smarphone Dock!!!!

Have you ever heard that a man has prosthetic arm with smartphone dock? A British man who was born without his left arm and now, he’s the world’s first patient to ever have a smartphone docking system in his prosthetic arm. We have seen several prosthesis that is helpful to the amputees but this is a special prosthetic arm that has built-in smarphone dock.

Trevor Prideaux, who is a 50-year-old man from Britain and he is the only person in the world who has a prosthetic arm with smartphone dock. This special prosthetic arm docks is created by Nokia and Trevor Prideaux’s medical team and it can dock Nokia C7 smartphone without any problems. Trevor Prideaux first contacted Apple to try and get a hold of a blank iPhone casing to test it out but the company refused to co-operate with them.

Trevor Prideaux used to have to balance the smartphone on his prosthesis or put it on a flat surface to use it. With the phone embedded into his new fiberglass and laminate arm, he can call and text using one arm without having to move the phone. He worn a prosthetic limb made at Exeter Mobility Centre in Devon since he was 3 years old.

After making a laminated fiber cast of his Nokia C7, the team carved a phone-shaped cradle to fit the phone into a prototype that was made in just 5 weeks. The Nokia C7 sits within his forearm between his stump socket and the single knob rotary that holds his limb attachments in place. Now when he gets a call, he can hold his arm up to his ear.

Although this dock won’t recharge his phone, it will make life a lot easier for the disabled including Trevor. Trevor admitted that phone slots smoothly and securely within his limb and it can be easily removed when required and he hopes that such prosthetic arms could help other amputees worldwide.

It looks amazing and although this changes the mind of disabled and also lets them to go for new technology. Nowadays, new car, computers and phones are rarely designed for disabled keeping in mind. Prosthetic arms with smartphone docks will be much more advanced in the near future.
